“Science can amuse and fascinate us all, but it is engineering that changes the world.” —Isaac Asimov Mechanical engineering, in its essence, is the practice of creating things that move all by themselves: from airplanes to robots and even the simplest of objects that accompany us in our daily lives. Engineering demands cross-disciplinary knowledge of mathematics, physics and material sciences. For that reason, perhaps engineering is the ultimate intellectual and professional pursuit. At The AV Club, we teach engineering through a lens of play and experimentation.
